OUR ROOTS

Technology Search Partners was founded to fulfill the needs of companies that value a hands-on, highly personalized approach to recruiting talented technology professionals. TSP is the sister company of BFS Associates Inc., which has been successfully matching people and employers since 1992. BFS is a boutique recruiting firm located just north of Boston. It specializes in placing professionals in Accounting/Finance, Customer Operations and Human Resources.

We are a boutique firm that specializes in providing personalized attention to every client and candidate we work with. We are boutique by design, and we’re proud not to be one of the “world’s largest staffing firms.” Our successful, straight forward business approach involves returning every call and giving clients and candidates alike timely, honest feedback throughout the placement process.

My Background:
In 2012 I came to TSP entirely new to recruiting, but with very extensive and diverse client satisfaction experience from roles as a Mechanical Project Engineer for a global commercial equipment manufacturer, an Operations Manager for a local service provider and Commercial Sales responsible for Eastern New England. Being born and raised in Maine, then graduating from Northeastern University in Boston followed by moving to Seacoast NH in 1995 (where I have lived since) gives me a variety of strong regional connections in many industries.

What I do:
From day 1, I have worked both candidate and client side of searches ranging from Software Developer to multiple “C-Level” positions and everything in between. Viewing both sides as ‘customers’ and focusing on everyone’s satisfaction is what I feel is the most important part of what we do. For this to happen, creative solutions to ever changing business challenges are required. It is my role to foster and guide this approach throughout the TSP organization. It is important to me that we are a professional resource for all that we work with, regardless of the interaction.

What I enjoy:
My engineering background explains the satisfaction I get from finding solutions to variety of day to day challenges, but the true pleasures of life come from my fortune and fun of parenting an amazing daughter as well as the feeling of a good run outside in all of New England’s seasons.

ERIC BAKKE

My Background:
After several years working on the business side of Insurance I transitioned into Information Technology working in support and Desktop engineering. Additionally I have over 15 years of hands-on IT project management experience with clients ranging from the SMB space to the Fortune 100. Over those years I managed projects and programs ranging from small server build outs to multi-million dollar implementations. I came to TSP with the goal of establishing a specific focus on project managers while leveraging my understanding of Information Technology and project management into a high quality relationship for clients and candidates.

What I Do:
I find that my project management skills translate really well in the world of IT staffing. Whether the opportunity we are working to fill is a part time help desk technician or the CTO of a growing technology company my experience gathering business requirements and guiding clients through the execution of their projects comes into play every time. Helping clients and candidates understand what they want, what they need and what they can expect in the marketplace is a key part of our approach at TSP. In a competitive and ever changing technology job market it is important that we help bring that clarity to each search.

What I Enjoy:
I’m a big fan of technology – particularly mobile and home technology. I love seeing new solutions for handling the everyday challenges in both our business and personal lives. Outside of the office you are most likely to find me spending time with my wife and two sons with whom I am generally planning our next adventure.

SENIOR RECRUITING MANAGER

My Background:
I joined TSP as a Recruiting Manager in 2013 having worked in a similar capacity in the health care industry. In total I bring a decade’s worth of experience as a recruiter. I graduated from the University of New Hampshire in 2006 with a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration and have called the NH Seacoast my home for 15 years+.

What I do:
Work closely with IT Professionals here in New England to pinpoint their career goals and objectives, and then identify appropriate long-term career options. I work hand in hand with every candidate from the initial contact through offer, making sure they’re fully prepared and regularly updated through each stage of the interview process. I understand and respect the gravity of a job change/career search; a candidate feeling unprepared or not receiving regular updates is never an option!

What I enjoy:
Aside from finding a candidate the perfect career opportunity, I enjoy quality time with my family, a good men’s league hockey game, a cold beer after mowing the lawn and a round of golf with friends!

RECRUITING MANAGER

My Background:
I stumbled into the recruiting world after exploring a career in politics. I was hooked after receiving my first “Thank You” card from a happily placed candidate. After graduating with a Political Science degree from Flagler College in sunny St. Augustine, FL, I started a career in campaign politics, working the 2012 cycle in Flint, MI. Soon after relocating to New England from Washington, DC I started my first recruiting role at Timberland. Since then I have diversified my experience from recruiting designers, to Executive and C-level sales professionals, finally finding my way to the tech industry. I joined TSP as a Recruiting Manager in 2016.

What I do:
I was incredibly excited to join the TSP team, their unique approach and relationship driven practice lined up with my idea of how recruitment should be. I believe in forming a connection with my candidates that goes beyond keywords on a resume. I strive to fully understand their experience and long term goals while being an advocate and coach through every step of the hiring process.

What I enjoy:
In my free time I enjoy being a beer snob with my fiancé, attempting to keep my garden alive and listening to true crime podcasts.
